Britain's favourite brickies are reunited for their last-ever outing, a two-part special that sees them travelling to the Asian paradise of Laos, where the Australian Embassy has seconded them to do some major repairs. For Scouse rogue Moxey, the lush locale provides the setting for love, as one of the embassy staff takes a shine to him during a table tennis tournament - but the rest of them soon grow fed up of rain and noodles. One by one they're realising that there's more to life than being part of their gang, a feeling brought into sharp focus by a letter from Bomber in Arizona, saying he won't be joining them as he's packed away his trowel for good. Fully aware this could be the last time they're together, the lads make big plans to live it up in neighbouring Thailand once the job is done. For Oz, Dennis, Moxey and Wyman, this means the bright lights and nightlife of Bangkok, while Barry and Neville opt for a more refined option with a trip on the Orient Express. But what should be a sedate journey through the historic sites of Thailand turns into a nightmare when Barry disappears, so Neville calls the remaining boys and they set out to rescue their friend from his jungle captors.
