55 Degrees North: Season 2 (2005 - 2006)

• Season 2 Episode 8: EPISODE: 8

  As the gang war rages on, Yates's contact orders him to kill DS Cole - though the sergeant is unaware Maguire has requested a sting to determine the extent of his involvement with the family. Meanwhile, Nicky finds Adam has abducted Matty and is forced to consider betraying his brother, while Brookes' teasing of Clark jeopardises her relationship with Bing.   Nicky is wary when his brother turns up after being released from jail, dividing the family's feelings as Errol welcomes the new arrival.   Nicky investigates a series of date rapes and leads an undercover team on an operation in a local nightclub to catch the perpetrator, using Brookes as bait. Carter confesses that his attempt to bribe Nicky was merely an attempt to determine his honesty and promptly recruits him to root out the real corruption in the force. However, as the operation unfolds, Carter sets out to single-handedly bring in a notorious armed robber - an assignment with devastating consequences

  Nicky comes under investigation for corruption, and is ostracised by his fellow officers while working on a double murder case at an old people's home. Convinced that Carter is behind his predicament, he fights to prove his innocence - but the only person who can clear his name is the one who reported him in the first place

  Nicky investigates a road rage incident but discovers the perpetrator is a drug runner. Adding to his woes, he is offered a bribe, which he suspects could be part of a conspiracy to discredit him.
