Movie (2000)
Bryan Singer's blockbusting adaptation of the popular Marvel comic book in which powerful mutants Wolverine and Rogue join an academy for their kindred, but are soon caught up in a battle against a rival organisation preparing for all-out war against human society. Adventure, which manages to be hugely entertaining without compromising its all-important comic-book heritage, starring Hugh Jackman, Patrick Stewart, Halle Berry, Ian McKellen, Famke Janssen and Anna Paquin. With a successful sequel following in its wake, the franchise will continue with a third instalment, featuring Vinnie Jones among others, scheduled for release this month
