Shakespeare meets MTV in director Baz Luhrmann's exuberant adaptation of the famous romantic tale. Leonardo DiCaprio and Claire Danes take the lead roles of the 'star-cross'd lovers' torn apart by their feuding families, who go to desperate lengths to ensure they'll be together for ever. Excellent support comes courtesy of Pete Postlethwaite, Brian Dennehy, John Leguizamo, Paul Sorvino and Miriam Margolyes, while the colourful backdrops and musical numbers make this an unforgettable treat for the senses
