Movie (1973)
A repressed Christian police officer (Edward Woodward) is sent to a remote Scottish island to investigate the disappearance of a child, but falls foul of a pagan cult whose overt sexuality and occult practices shock and terrify him. Director Robin Hardy's mystery is widely considered to be one of Britain's finest horror films and has recently been remade with Nicolas Cage in the lead role. An amusingly unhinged Christopher Lee co-stars as the isle's laird, alongside Britt Ekland, Ingrid Pitt and Diane Cilento.
