Synopsis:
A wealthy widow travels to Italy to escape the pressure of her in-laws, and promptly falls in love with a poor local. When the revived woman agrees to marry her foreign friend, her relatives back home are shocked by the apparent disregard for class, culture and their family's image, and set about putting an end to the unlikely union.
