A well-respected child psychologist is called in to help get to the bottom of a withdrawn youngster's problems. It's thought she may have witnessed a double murder, and police are keen to talk to her. However, his involvement leads him to embark on an obsessive investigation into a series of suspicious deaths, which may be linked to an influential group of professionals.
