Westworld

Exciting thriller from writer Michael Crichton, essentially using the same theme as the Jurassic Park movies - technology gone wild. Richard Benjamin decides to spend his holiday at a huge theme park where guests can live out their fantasies in the company of lifelike robots - but he's left fighting for survival when the mechanoids malfunction, and a sinister, seemingly unstoppable gunslinger sets its sights on killing him. Yul Brynner stars as the murderous robot, with a tip of the hat to his role in The Magnificent Seven, in one of the best sci-fi films of the 1970s.
