Waterloo

Splendid historical tale from director Sergei Bondarchuk. A charismatic Rod Steiger heads the cast as Napoleon, and the film charts his return from exile, as he once again seizes control of the French army and plots to retake his empire. Facing off against Steiger is an equally impressive Christopher Plummer as the Duke of Wellington, who leads the English army to the fateful titular battle as nations across Europe rally together to stop the dictator's ambitions. The supporting cast includes Orson Welles as the king of France, who is forcibly deposed following Napoleon's return
