Movie (2005)
Deepa Mehta's moving drama, set in Thirties India, stars Sarala as an eight-year-old child bride whose husband unexpectedly dies. The innocent youngster's Hindu culture forbids her from remarrying, and instead she must atone for her sins by moving to a segregated community populated by other widows.
