Movie (1969)
Hugely enjoyable comedy, starring Peter Ustinov as a Mexican general desperate to prove his worth as a leader. Intent on succeeding where earlier generations failed, he crosses the border into Texas and retakes the Alamo. The US National Guard are soon sent to deal with the invaders - but with both sides keen to avoid violence, resolving the crisis proves harder than expected. With John Astin and Pamela Tiffin
