Christian Bale stars as an American journalist who is sent to investigate the story of a legendary Seventies glam rock star whose iconic status was sealed when he was apparently murdered during a concert - a death later revealed to be a fake. Good-looking but ultimately messy drama, with Ewan McGregor and Jonathan Rhys Meyers playing characters based on David Bowie and Iggy Pop. Toni Collette and Eddie Izzard fill out the flamboyant cast
