A pilot encounters a beautiful Pakistani girl who becomes stranded in his native India after a road accident. As the pair slowly fall in love, the shadow of their nations' enmity threatens their relationship. Yash Chopra's epic musical drama, which was praised for its positive message, features a soundtrack originally composed in the 1950s by Madan Mohan. Shahrukh Khan and Preity Zinta star. Chopra introduces the film, along with Mohan's son Sanjeev Kohli
