Movie (2003)
Lee Mi-Sook plays the bitter Lady Cho, who pleads with her cousin to seduce and impregnate her husband's concubine, in a bizarre act of revenge. However, the womanising relative has his eyes on a young widow, forcing the manipulative wife to use all her sensual powers of persuasion. Based on the novel Dangerous Liaisons, E J-Yong's sensual drama is hardly original, but the backdrop of an 18th-century Korean dynasty, coupled with some outstanding photography, makes this a vibrant, entertaining adaptation.
