Brier, a musician with dreams of rock stardom travels from Manhattan to Los Angeles, where he soon forms a close friendship with Clea, a fellow New Yorker who has come to California to take acting lessons. But while Brier soon falls in love with Clea, she is more reluctant, fearing they may have to choose between their dreams of stardom and each other.
