Movie (1997)
Two women discover they have been dating the same lucky man, and set out to confront the foolish philanderer on his return from a brief trip - forcing him to come up with a bizarre, tangled tale to explain his duplicity. James Toback's so-so comedy drama, loosely based on French classic Jules et Jim, features just enough snappy dialogue to save it from the doldrums. Robert Downey Jnr is on top form as the love rat, with Heather Graham and Natasha Gregson Wagner as the smitten women determined to discover which of them he prefers.
