Movie (1973)
A lonely farm woman persuades an Army deserter to dress in women's clothes and pose as her sister to stay one step ahead of the military authorities. Michael Apted's rather uneven World War Two romance can't seem to strike a balance between sensitivity and ribald humour. However, excellent performances from the cast - particularly Glenda Jackson and Oliver Reed - lift it well above average. Brian Deacon, Jenny Lee Wright and Kenneth Colley are among the co-stars
