A Los Angeles detective learns his ex-girlfriend has been abducted by a criminal gang and her brother persuades him to return to New York to rescue her. The reluctant hero soon realises the kidnapping is part of a war between the Russian and Chinese Mafias, and the pair are forced to use their combat skills to get their girl.
