Enthralling drama following the unfulfilled life of Thomas, a man who spends years resenting a childhood friend's good fortune. The film cuts back and forth between three stages in Thomas' life - as an innocent youngster who dreams of being a heroic secret agent, as a man frustrated by the mediocrity of his life and finally in old age, when decades of bitterness finally boil over and compel him to take revenge on the rival whose life he wishes he'd led. Michel Bouquet, Jo De Backer and Thomas Godet play Thomas at the various stages of his life
