Sidney Poitier stars as a novice teacher struggling to earn his pupils' respect during his first term at a tough East End school. Simplistic but effective classroom drama which proved to be hugely popular on release, co-starring Patricia Routledge, Christopher Chittell, Judy Geeson, Geoffrey Bayldon and Lulu, who also sings the title song
