World War Two biopic about the life and achievements of America's most decorated soldier, Audie Murphy, who plays himself in this adaptation of his autobiography. Enlisting in the Army to provide for his younger siblings, he finds himself propelled into the conflict in Europe where he excels himself in combat across the continent, earning the respect of his fellow soldiers along the way. Unsurprisingly, Murphy gives a top-quality performance in the lead, while co-stars Marshall Thompson, Charles Drake and Gregg Palmer offer solid support
