Fascinating French drama exploring the importance of employment, telling the true story of a man who wove an increasingly elaborate deception to hide his redundancy from his family, spending his days wandering the countryside and conning old friends out of money to prolong the pretence. Aurélien Recoing gives a profoundly moving performance in the lead, as a man who feels that without even the illusion of work he'll have nothing left, while his co-stars include Karin Viard, Serge Livrozet and Jean-Pierre Mangeot
