Synopsis:
Shane Meadows's semi-autobiographical drama is set in an unnamed bleak northern town in the 1980s. The film centres on Shaun, a 12-year-old boy who is lacking direction after losing his father in the Falklands War. When the youngster meets a group of skinheads on the streets of his neighbourhood, the leader of the gang decides to take Shaun under his wing, but the new recruit soon finds himself being drawn into a world of racism and violence.
