Boisterous old-fashioned Western adventure chronicling the colourful career of flamboyant General George Armstrong Custer (Errol Flynn), who became a legend due to his doomed last stand against hostile Indians at the Battle of Little Bighorn. Director Raoul Walsh may have taken liberties with the facts, but it's a fine piece of entertainment, just not to be taken too seriously. Olivia de Havilland, Arthur Kennedy, Anthony Quinn and Charley Grapewin are among the top quality supporting cast
