A lonely 12-year-old Welsh boy is abandoned by his mother, while his father becomes increasingly distant. Trying to cope with the trauma, he creates a mixture of fantasy and religion, and claims to be a faith healer. He attracts a group of followers, but his failure to heal a classmate forces him to question what he truly believes in.
