Jack Black and Kyle Gass star in a fantasy origin story for their rock band. Black flees his repressive Christian father (Meat Loaf) in search of rock stardom, teaming up with laid back guitarist Gass along the way. But to become the rock gods they are surely destined to be, they must first find the magical guitar pick that gives its owner unprecedented musical prowess - a quest that will lead them to confront Satan himself (Foo Fighters' Dave Grohl).
