Ten Canoes
Movie (2006)
An Australian Aborigine tribal elder leads an expedition in search of tree bark to make canoes. Among the group is his younger brother, whom he suspects of desiring the youngest of his three wives. To show him the error of his ways, the older sibling recounts an ancient legend of a man whose efforts to seduce a married woman ended in disaster. Comedy drama, the first film ever made in the Aboriginal language of Ganalbingu, that crosses back and forth between the present day adventures of the canoe expedition and the mythical events in the leader's story. Starring Jamie Dayindi Gulpilil Dalaithngu and Peter Minygululu
