Movie (1954)
A principled judge in post-Civil War Kentucky faces the condemnation of wealthy townsfolk as he continually stands up for the poor and underprivileged. His position comes under threat when a slick lawyer stands for election against him. John Ford's period drama is a follow-up to his 1934 movie Judge Priest, with both films based on the short stories by Irvin S Cobb. Starring Charles Winninger and Arleen Whelan
