Movie (1999)
Spike Lee's thriller set against the backdrop of New York in the smouldering summer of 1977. A philandering hairdresser has a brush with a serial killer, and events subsequently spiral out of control as he loses his wife and job, and finally betrays the man people believe to be the murderer. Sadly, this offering suffers from a distinct lack of characterisation, which seems to be abandoned in favour of creating atmosphere.
