Movie (1992)
Highly acclaimed Australian comedy, starring Paul Mercurio as rebellious dancer Scott, whose unconventional style earns him the disapproval of the ballroom establishment and causes his partner to walk out on him. Needing a replacement before a high profile championship, he turns to an awkward beginner whose footwork blossoms under his influence as romance develops between them. The first instalment in director Baz Luhrmann's theatrical 'red curtain trilogy' (along with Romeo and Juliet and Moulin Rouge) is a gleefully camp and stylish feelgood delight.
