Movie (2006)
Marc Forster's fantasy comedy drama features Will Ferrell giving a suitably restrained and touching performance as placid tax inspector Harold Crick, who finds his uneventful life turned upside down by the appearance of a female voice in his head, documenting his every move. Following a visit to a literary professor, Harold discovers that the voice belongs to a female author who is in control of his destiny - unfortunately the writer is famed for killing off her main characters at the end of the book. Emma Thompson, Dustin Hoffman, Maggie Gyllenhaal, Queen Latifah and Tony Hale also star.
