A French journalist travelling through Iran becomes stranded in a small village, where a local woman tells him the horrifying story of a woman who has been stoned to death. The victim of the crime had been forced into a marriage to an abusive tyrant, but had refused to grant him a divorce, leading him to conspire to have her accused of adultery.
