A clumsy teenager undergoes a bizarre transformation after a bite from a genetically engineered spider. His elation at his new powers disappears when tragedy strikes, prompting him to dedicate his spidey-skills to the fight against evil. However, he faces a baptism of fire in the form of crazed villain the Green Goblin.
