Movie (1994)

Jan De Bont's directorial debut, a thrill-a-minute action adventure about a game of cat-and-mouse between LAPD cop Keanu Reeves and unhinged explosives expert Dennis Hopper. The film gets off to a cracking start with the rescue of passengers stuck in a booby-trapped lift - but the adrenaline really gets pumping once Hopper plants a bomb on a bus, primed to go off if the vehicle drops below 50mph. From then on, it's non-stop action, as Reeves - modelling the white vest necessary for any serious action man - tries to prevent the passengers being blown to smithereens. Sandra Bullock co-stars as the scatty passenger who ends up behind the wheel of the bus, with Jeff Daniels as Keanu's partner
