Two male jazz musicians don drag and hide out with an all-girl band to evade gangsters pursuing them - with predictable romantic confusions. Billy Wilder's classic comedy, starring Jack Lemmon and Tony Curtis as the cross-dressing fugitives, with Marilyn Monroe in arguably her most famous role as the band's singer. Lemmon and Curtis tested their costumes by wearing them in public - and when no one batted an eyelid, they knew they'd perfected them
