A drifter finds a home and a purpose when he rescues a rancher's beloved horse, and is hired to train the unpredictable beast. A strong bond develops between man and steed, but it all goes horribly wrong when his no-good brother steals the animal and a botched rescue attempt leads to the horse escaping into the wild.
