He plays a con-man making his way up the ladder of New York society by telling everyone he's Sidney Poitier's son - which allows him to mingle with the rich and famous with ease, giving him ample opportunity to ruin lives wherever he pleases. Fabulous stuff, exploring class guilt, naivety and attitudes to celebrity, with a fine supporting cast boasting the likes of Stockard Channing, Donald Sutherland, Mary Beth Hurt, Ian McKellen and Heather Graham
