Movie (1977)
John Wayne's son Patrick swaps the spurs and six-shooters for baggy trousers and cutlass to star in this Arabian adventure, which sees Sinbad freeing a prince from the grip of an evil spell cast by a wicked witch. Alas, he lacks the screen presence of his dad and can't carry the weight of this slightly disappointing adventure. Ray Harryhausen's special effects are, as usual, the best thing about it. Also starring Jane Seymour, Taryn Power and one-time Doctor Who Patrick Troughton
