Synopsis:
Ben Kingsley stars as a respected 19th-century weaver named Silas Marner, who is wrongfully accused of theft and exiled from his town. He settles in a quiet village called Raveloe, where he carves out a a remote existence for himself. However, when a the son of a local landowner steals the fortune that Silas has managed to save over the years, the distraught recluse is driven into a deep depression.
