Frustrated executive Michael Caine is shocked when a younger colleague is given a promotion instead of him. Shortly afterwards, he accidentally pushes a homeless man into the path of a subway train. When he realises he's got away with one murder, he begins to wonder how many more he can pull off, and starts plotting the demise of his rivals, his demanding wife and anyone else whose ever caused him misery.
