Amanda Bynes stars as Viola, a teenager whose devotion to soccer is brought to an abrupt end when her team is shut down. The only other team in the area is all-male, so she resorts to desperate measures - disguising herself as her own twin brother to join. However, in her male guise she ends up drawn into a complex love triangle when she falls for a team-mate who only has eyes for another girl - who, in turn, takes a liking to Viola in her male guise.
