Synopsis:

The true story of arrogant Austrian mountaineer Heinrich Harrer, whose World War Two friendship with the 14-year-old Dalai Lama in Tibet teaches him humility and the meaning of inner peace. Epic and overlong drama which is saved in part by the sheer magnificence of the scenery and the inspirational story, starring a miscast Brad Pitt, alongside David Thewlis and BD Wong
