Elizabeth I orders a dashing sea captain to carry out acts of piracy against the Spanish. The buccaneer finds romance with a captured noblewoman and uncovers the identity of a traitor in the English court. But before he can warn the Queen, he is captured and sentenced to slavery aboard an enemy ship. Errol Flynn stars in this historical action adventure, which mixes romance and swordplay.
