Scrooge

Splendid (and some would argue definitive) adaptation of Dickens' classic A Christmas Carol, starring Alastair Sim as the hard-hearted miser who refuses to join in with the spirit of the festive season - until a succession of spectral visitors teach him the error of his ways. Sim gives a typically inspired performance, creating possibly the most memorable Scrooge ever committed to celluloid, while a host of greats including Mervyn Johns, Kathleen Harrison, Jack Warner, Michael Hordern, Hermione Baddeley and Hattie Jacques offer top-notch support.
