Impulsive elf Patch (Dudley Moore, in a less than impressive role) walks out on Santa during the hectic preparations for the festive season, and heads for New York determined to make a name for himself. However, he falls into the clutches of demonic toy manufacturer John Lithgow, who's got a devilish money-making plan up his sleeve. Rather silly children's adventure, which carries the usual moral message about the spirit of Christmas, co-starring David Huddleston, Burgess Meredith, Judy Cornwell and Jeffrey Kramer
