Movie (1942)
An aspiring singer desperate for publicity confesses to a murder, hoping that the headlines generated by the trial will boost her showbiz career. To make sure she is acquitted, she hires the services of a famous, fast-talking lawyer who turns the trial into the biggest show in town. Comedy based on the 1920s stage play that later inspired the musical Chicago, with Ginger Rogers and Adolphe Menjou
