Synopsis:
Film-makers Ismail Merchant and James Ivory may be more famous for their literary adaptations, but this celebration of dance is just as inspiring as they tell three stories concerning the light-footed regulars of the famous New York ballroom. Christopher Walken graces the floor as he plays gigolo to a host of admiring older women, while Teresa Wright waltzes back to her youth in the hope of remembering happier times with her late husband.
