Romulus Gaita emigrates from Romania to Australia to run a farm, with his German wife Christina and their son Raimond in tow. Romulus is driven to despair when Christina leaves him, but as they struggle to cope with their harsh lives, a close bond develops between father and son. Drama, based on Raimond Gaita's autobiographical book, starring Eric Bana, Franka Potente and Kodi Smit-McPhee
