A wealthy businessman feigns poverty to test his girlfriend's loyalty : but disaster strikes and his lack of riches becomes a reality as an unscrupulous partner runs off with his assets. Misfiring and miscast romantic comedy, with Carey Lowell and Peter Weller, who made his name as the original RoboCop and clearly struggles in this more sensitive role.
