Movie (1989)
An ex-Army officer's desperate stunt to avoid fighting in World War Two backfires, and he finds himself stationed on a South Sea island leading a plane-load of misfits into action against the Japanese. This style of comedy adventure has been done before countless times - and with far greater success. Bruce Boxleitner, Susan Diol, Reed McCants and Tia Carrere star in this indifferent effort, which was intended as a pilot for a TV series - but low ratings ensured no further episodes were made
